The Air's Tender Embrace

The Air's Tender Embrace

A Poem by Kiara

The sky is dark purple,

The clouds a dark gray,

Almost black.

The sun is gone

And the moon

Is nowhere in sight.

The air is cold

And it caresses

My exposed skin

In a tender, chilly

Embrace.

Eyes closed,

Curled up,

Ice cold,

I shiver and shake.

These involuntary movements

Make me feel colder.

I try to hold still

And Relax

As the icy air

Wraps me up

Forever in its embrace.
