I'm Sorry

I'm Sorry

A Poem by Kiara

A ghost’s shadow

Hovers at the window.

Eyes,

Vacant,

Search my face.

They seem to wonder

Why am I alive

When they are dead.

After all,

They earned life.

They made it their own

And died in a terrible accident.

They loved life

When I saw no reason for it.

Life is just a big black hole

Waiting to suck everyone  in,

Or maybe that’s death.

The ghost drifted away.

I whispered the words

“I’m sorry.”
