The Son

The Son

A Poem by Kiara

Secretly weeping,

The son hides his tears.

Secretly weeping,

He hides his own fears.

His mother is right,

The daughter is wrong.

His mother is right,

Like lyrics in a song.

Dad agrees,

Don’t you, Dad?

Dad agrees,

And he is glad.

With two rights and a wrong,

The daughter is gone.

With two rights and a wrong,

The daughter is gone.

                       The daughter is gone.

                       The daughter is gone.
