Black Tears

Black Tears

A Poem by Kiara

Today I’m wearing black

Because the colors hurt my eyes.

My eyes

That cried all night

And still want to cry.

I can’t force people to believe the truth,

Especially my mother,

Who just wants me to be hurt

All my life.

I doubt she would be at my funeral

If I died.

I wouldn’t want her there.

She’s not good enough.

She would probably laugh

At my pale dead face

And empty bloodstream.

She would simply laugh

At my decaying body

Dressed in black.

Your black tears transform to black ink... It hurts soo much to not feel the support from our loved ones. The hardest lesson to learn is that true support and belief comes from within. A heartfelt write. Keep up the good work :)
