Black Diamond Heart

Black Diamond Heart

A Poem by Kiara

The hearts of some people
Black and empty,
And as hard as diamond
Fall to the Devil.

They care not for others,
But love themselves.
They care not for his life, or her's
And pass by the cheap cans on the shelves.

They care not for the snow
Or the sun
Or the wind that does blow.
They care not for the water that will always run.

The Devil loves these keepsakes
That cause others pain.
He makes sure to keep them safe
For happiness he will gain.

Keep your heart warm
And love and care.
By doing this you will form
A life out of His lair.

The hearts of some people
Black and empty,
And as hard as diamond
Fall to the Devil.
