The Broken Girl

The Broken Girl

A Poem by Kiara

“Please just kill me!”

She cried into her

Tear soaked

Pillows and blankets.

She couldn’t take another night

Like this,

Even if she had to

Kill herself.

The headaches hurt

But not like the pain

In her heart.

She had always said

“I can’t live without you”

But then she realized

She really couldn’t.

Without him,

She was an empty corpse,

A zombie,

Who cried all night and day

Because she couldn’t keep going.

She cried for hours and hours

But the pain would never fade.

She was going through her living Hell.

Her nightmares had come true.

That girl is me,

And I can’t live without him.

I’m falling apart,

And only he can put the pieces

Back together.

They won’t be right

And I’ll always be messed up,

But at least

I can look a fraction of

The masterpiece

I used to be.
