The Fading Sun

The Fading Sun

A Poem by Kiara

I sit alone,
My heart breaking.
They'll never answer the phone
To realize I won't be waking.
The wind is changing
And my smile is fading.
The eyes of everyone
Are faded, hope forever gone.
Am I the one
That is holding the gun?
Do I set them off
And let them follow?
The path is too tough
And our hope is hollow.
The broken hearts
Leave happiness forever gone.
We are scars, bruises, and marks.
Empty hearts have stolen the sun.

Author's Note

Kiara
The sun symbolises happiness. The scars, bruises, and marks show that we are weakening.
