The Darkness

The darkness is there,

Like closed eyes in a midnight room.

Open your eyes and welcome your doom.

Search for help but beware.

Everyone has left.  No one is there.

Blinded by the empty black,

Notice what you've done.

See what you've become.

You've driven off track

And you'll never find your way back.

This empty place

Is your new home.

You'll always be alone.

You can't retrace

Your steps.  You'll soon be erased.
