A Mother

The way I imagined her.

Someone who is always there,

Someone who will help and care,

One who never leaves your side,

One who will bring up your pride,

She is a mother.

She is one who makes you smile,

She'll make you happy all the while,

When you're down and you're in pain,

She will help you to retain,

A glimpse of hope every day,

To keep sadness all but at bay,

She is a mother.

A love and kindness always there,

and when you're down it helps you bear,

Anything when somethings wrong,

She will help to make you strong,

 She is a mother.

This needs more reads. It's a beautiful poem, and everything flows together almost flawlessly. A good repetition, and good language. On top of that, the subject matter is very relatable and the bond between a mother and child is a beautiful thing to experience and to see. I love this poem.
