Something more

Your life was a world of color,
now it seems it's black and cold.
To many careless mistakes,
got you nowhere and now your empty,
afraid of what the future holds.
The tears seem like a wild waterfall,
you're helpless and tied down to one memory,
that always seems to bring a million more.
As much as you want to scream out the truth,
your voice shuts down on you and your blood turns cold.
For a moment you feel blank and lifeless,
till you realize maybe there's something more.
