Loraphine

Loraphine

A Poem by Tina
"

My dad died a year or so ago,, when he was lying in his deathbed he had to have a combination of two medicines Lorazepam and morphine so this poem is about that.

"
Loraphine.. my nightingale..
take me into your embrace.
calm my soul and pain erase.
kiss me tenderly, let me
drown in you. In sweet
slumber I lay. My cares and
woes are swept away. Soon
never again will I awake.
Into the light I must partake.
Leaving this world and all I love
to my place in heaven above.
There I will join those that went
before Me. My death is not the
end, there is A new journey here
for me. So Do not Greave or cry
for me, fore I am with The Lord.
I am finally free.

Dedicated  to my dad

Hello Tina. A lovely dedication to your late Dad. This combination of drugs would have aided a peaceful transition from this world to the next. Your lines had a calming, slowing down effect. I am sorry for your loss. It is good to see a post from you. It’s been a while.

I connected with this. My mother was dying of lung cancer and was dosing heavily on morphine. I didn't object since she was a wonderful woman who was in great pain. I miss her.

Your words are such a beautifully touching tribute to and for your darling father, Tina. The many essential drugs can alter an onlooker's perspective of the needy person. But as you so finely say infer a combination f like that is such a blessing help into the next world. And yes, finally free.

'My death is not the
end, there is A new journey here
for me. So Do not Greave or cry
for me, fore I am with The Lord. '
