Devil's Alley

Devil's Alley

A Poem by Tracie D'Angelo
"

Written 26 March 1991

"

Come into the shadowy night

Need not be afraid

Of the things you can’t see

Of the things you don’t know

Stare into my eyes

See my naked soul

Bared only for you

At only this moment

Lay back your head, mortal child

And pray your soul to keep

You are looking at death, my friend

I am too sorry

And when I leave you

Let me weep the evil tears of shame

This seemed dark and almost sad, but haunting that the same time... really good work!
