A POEM ON GRIEF.

Deep within

where none else goes

the hard grief grows

and just when you think

 

you are moving on a bit

it comes back

 

with the painful hit

moving you back

 

to yesteryears

which move to tears

 

the little boy

the growing lad

 

young man

grown man

 

and deep loved son

all wrapped up in one

 

big bundle of memories

unfolding and moving

 

and having moved

to edge of hurt and pain

 

the whirlpool

of all emotions spin

 

in that secret chamber

deep within

 

where none else goes

the deep grief grows

I like the scarcity of words you use. Though you use few words, they clearly convey the emotion you feel -- in this case the pain of losing your dear son. It is true that no one else can go where your pain resides. My heart breaks for you. Ole was lucky to be loved so much by you. I hope you soon find peace. I've said it before, but it bears repeating that you hugely honor your son with your beautiful writing. Blessings.
