TAKEN.

TAKEN.

A Poem by Terry Collett
"

FATHER MOURNING SON.

"

I thought
I had you

for always;
I was mistaken.

Some God,
or not,

as the case
may be,

has for some reason,
unknown to me,

has you
from me,

hurtfully
taken.

the focus here is simple...
yet the words speak to you...
as a reader ---
and you just go about...
reading it again...and again...
like the moment is denial...
but the passing is quite real...
