BACK HOME.

BACK HOME.

A Poem by Terry Collett
"

OUR SON CAME HOME FROM HOSPITAL AFTER HAVING PNEUMONIA. THE SAME HOSPITAL HE DIED IN FOUR YEARS LATER.

"

I am back home.‭

At one point‭
I thought a helicopter‭
was landing‭
on the roof‭
of the hospital,‭

but it was just one‭
of my elderly‭
room mates‭
snoring,‭

my other room mate‭
was making‭
weird noises‭
all the time‭
(I think he was‭
part man-part boiler‭)‬.

Anyway‭
the moral‭
of this story is:‭

I can't‭
be running‭
around‭
scantily clad‭
any more.

Written by my late son Oliver.‭ (‬1984-2014‭) (‬c‭)
