AFTER THE PARTY.

AFTER THE PARTY.

A Poem by Terry Collett
"

ON AN OFFICE PARTY OUTING.

"

I have had
quite a bit to drink
this evening,

but not enough
to forget
what I have witnessed.

Although
I did nearly
fall out

of the minibus taxi
which dropped me home
(not accusing

anyone
in particular,
but these things

usually have a step,
& I swear
somebody

moved it.)
Can't quite decide
on the highlight

of the evening,
but it's between:
Claire 'Bear'

& Justine moon-walking
in tandem or
'Dave' Walker

attempting to break dance
to Run DMC
v Jason Nevins

Mr 'Versatile' Tanner
& his unique
freestyle dance

or the PG rated
Full Monty
by Mr Beckley,

Reed & Worth.
One thing which
will almost certainly

deprive me
of sleep tonight
is the image

of the dude
on the dance floor
in a mankini

(it was like
a walrus flossing.)
My excuse

for not dancing:
I’m overly
Caucasian!
