THOUGHTS OF THEM.

THOUGHTS OF THEM.

A Poem by Terry Collett
"

A MAN THINKS OF ALONG AGO LOVE.

"

I thought of him
with her back then,
making love to her,

wishing it was me,
she wishing it was me,
but being with him,

making love,
thinking of us
before him,

as it was and how
it could have been.
I thought of her

back then,
kissing him
as she kissed

me before,
beneath a moon
and stars,

but his lips
on hers
and hers on his,

and mine absent
kissing none,
my lips blowing a kiss

from an open palm,
for her,
not him,

that she may sense
its touch,
softly,

tenderly,
but changing
nothing much.
