She Is No More.

She Is No More.

A Poem by Terry Collett

She is no more;
at least not where
I am aware.
Some other sphere maybe
far or near to here.
I remember her.
Remember eyes
and smiles.
Words lost
in the winds of night.
In summer I recall
the pond and water birds
and kisses.
In winter I recall moonlight
and the first kiss
and embrace.
She is no more.
No more kisses.
No more gazing
each to each
face to face.
In spring I recall
song birds and buds
and her and youthful laughter.
In autumn I recall
the dying leaves
and lost promises
and one and more like me
who seek the lost
who is no more
or perhaps stranded
in some far away
sphere or shore
