Rain Again.

Rain Again.

A Poem by Terry Collett

They say
it's going
to rain again.
The sky seems
to promise such.

I recall the time
we stood under the shop awning
on the way home
from school
when the rain came down
and we stood there
waiting for it to ease or stop.

She took off
her thick lens glasses
to wipe away the rain
that blurred her sight.

The weather
looks like rain
and I sit recalling that day
seventy years away.
