The Old Times.

The Old Times.

A Poem by Terry Collett

The old times
have gone.

A different flower
sits on the windowsill.

Things once held high
and praised as new
are lost in time's sway
as day moves on
from day to day.

She whom you loved
is no more.

The scent of the new flower
reminds you of her
being near
but time and memories
deceive.
