Fateful Day 1980.

Fateful Day 1980.

A Poem by Terry Collett

I never did turn around
when I left
I walked on
cut off from my past.

Things fell into place
events followed each other
as if written
by an unseen script writer
keeping all things on the move
until the moment of rest.

I sold the gold ring
and closed up thoughts
of what might have been
of time ticking away
ticking away
until I the end
of that fateful day.
