Reflection on Juliet.

Reflection on Juliet.

A Poem by Terry Collett

She lies somewhere
beneath some soil
but I don't know where.

I was informed
of her demise
but not
where she lay.

I muse on one
long ago summer
and us lying in some
field of tall grass talking
and occasionally kissing
watching birds
fly overhead.

Now I am old man
and Juliet is dead.

Tender and heartbreaking. It captures love, loss, and the ache of time passing with such quiet elegance. A gentle echo of youth that lingers in memory. Beautifully done.
