Saxophone and Remembering.

Saxophone and Remembering.

A Poem by Terry Collett

A saxophone
plays on the hifi.
A dull afternoon
with grey clouds
and promise of rain.
She lay beside me those days
listening to the seagulls
and sea's rush on the beach
whispering about bedtime
and games and love.
Seagulls fly above still
and the sea
still rushes the shore
but you are dead
and hold hands
and whisper no more.

Saxophone brings back memories. The promise of rain fills my eyes with tears. Grief is such a mountain to contemplate. Deeply felt emotion here. Death is so final.
