It Happens.A Poem by Terry CollettIt happens the demise of a loved one. Torn away from you one day. The places you walked once are still there but without her are bare. The cheap hotel is no more flats have been built where the hotel once stood. You stand on the beach watching the incoming tide remembering a long ago summer. Children who once played on the beach back then bring their own grandchildren here now. A mild wind touches your hair as she once touched your hair and closing your eyes you imagined she still does so.
