As Jeanette Played 1962.A Poem by Terry CollettShe played Debussy on the piano in the music room at school during midmorning break. I stood by the door keeping watch for teacher's return. I watched as she moved side to side as she played giving birth to the Debussy work. I noticed her dark hair and the outline of her bra through the cream blouse but more so I listened as she played my eyes scanning the corridor for the teacher's return as the piano sounds drifted about my ears and along the passageway and softly drift away in a gentle sway.
