Emotionless Creation

Emotionless Creation

A Poem by Devil's Daughter
"

A poem...

"

Writing these words

With shaking hands,

Emotionless drawings

You won’t understand.

Drowning daily

In a tearless sea,

The walls I built

Too strong for me.

Numb to friends

My trust betrayed,

Heavy burden

My mind enslaved.

Swirling dark memories

Make me choke,

Twisted and crushed

Like dying hope.

The light that shines

Within your eyes,

Reminds me of someone

I despise.

I never flew

But I fell forever,

Yanked cruelly about

By your sharp tether.

Broken and blinded

I lay in the sun,

So you can mock

And have your fun.

The bell you tied

Around my neck,

Your undying lie,

I could never forget.

Lost forever

Willing to fade,

Forgotten treasure

On your display.

But these cold hands

Will quench your flame,

The monster you fed

Yet you never tamed.

"I never flew

This was such a beautiful piece. Its rhyme and rhythm were great. The whole piece had great flow. The message was well thought out and very clear. I loved the formatting it was very unique. This piece was just a wonderful read. Not too long but not to short and very entertaining.

But these cold hands

^ one of my fave parts. I loved so many parts of this. Your imagery was amazing and your word choice was outstanding. I loved this.
With love,
Tallulah
