The Actors Dilemma

Inspired by the famous John Barrymore quote - One of my chief regrets during my years in the theater is that I could not sit in the audience and watch me.

 

O wind-struck heaven! Jealousy and rage,

That I am here before a merry stage.

Its players bask amid the vivid glow,

Yet I watch in the audience below.

 

O cursed hellfire! Twice you have me burned,

For I am to this stage once more returned.

Though now I stand upon it; starry eyed,

My splendid view below has been denied.

I see the aggression for actors or entertainers
