Connection

Connection

A Poem by TheCreatore

Rain blossoms from bloated clouds

Mist fills the valley with a thin layer

Sheltered from the weather,

Windows open to let fresh air in;

Afterglow from drugs the night before,

Cuts and scars exposed to an empty room

A day off from the regular

Time to breathe and reflect

Music moves me through the moments,

And I wait to go nowhere--

When the day is done

This poem will have been written

Freedom has a certain taste

It’s disguised under the coat on my tongue

Vent, vent, ventilation

Honest with the creative force within me

I hold my temple higher

As I get closer to watching it perish

Like the rain switches phases

My energy will be recycled, renewed

The Universe no longer breathes without me

For I behold eternal Love

Flowing from the center of my hands

In a string of connection to above
