When I Grow up

When I Grow up

A Poem by Evan Costello
"

This is a song i wrote about what my dream is....to be a singer in a band.

"

When I Grow up

(verse 1)

When I was young

I always wanted to be

Someone who races cars

And has a nice a family

Well phases come and gone

But this phase is here to stay

I’ve always been determined

To do what I wanted to do anyway

(chorus)

And I know that every kid like me

At the age of thirteen

Wants the see their name in lights

And I know To be a rock-star

You have try real hard

But I always planned on it

I want to help people with my music somehow

So ill present myself to you, and I’ll do it now

I want to do the only thing I love

I want to play music in a band when I grow up

(verse 2)

It doesn’t matter if my songs aren’t that good

Im just trying to be as musical as I could

Be this as it may

I get better everyday

None of you have the balls to say it to my face

(chorus)

And I know that every kid like me

At the age of thirteen

Wants the see their name in lights

And I know To be a rock-star

You have try real hard

But I always planned on it

I want to help people with my music somehow

So ill present myself to you, and I’ll do it now

I want to do the only thing I love

I want to play music in a band when I grow up
