Rants from the soul

Rants from the soul

A Poem by The Ghost of Robert Lee

It is inevidable that I will die before my time;

before I have given my contribution to society, to the world.

It is inevidable that I will die too soon;

life, like happiness never lasts long enough.

It fades into darkness before it can truely live, contribute.

How long is truely long enough to live?

To breathe the clean mountain air

it exsists no more

gone is the pristine life

replaced with a vile paste

wisdom is defined-

accumulated learning, knowledge;

but what book can define such a strong word?

Emotion, the root and cause of all feelings light and dark

is also the cause of ones demise

My words flow freely as blood from a fresh wound

with no end in sight

Pain is the root and cause of all advancement

Beliefs have caused many men to do many a wicked thing

These beliefs have entangled and entwisted themselves so deeply

our minds and bodies become controlled by ideas

change brings fear

thought of change brings fear

the flames of hate spread and dance through the world

faster than any beating heart

these flames burn me to my core

I am a work in progress suffering various stages of regret and hate
