Cold WaterA Poem by SiblingWe are all Cold. Water. *inspired by Flight of The Navigator by Childish Gambino*
Cold Water burns my skin,
And exposes my bare bones. Cold Water from the poles Suddenly flows along The shores of my soul. Cold Water: once formidable ice Sculptured in a shapeless form. Cold water: once warm but lost heat Through Time's natural order. Cold Water still makes the hairs At the back of my neck stand. Cold Water's soft touch Makes the spine's legs dance - Involuntary twitches and grimaces When we immerse ourselves. I emerge pale with life after swimming Away from the shores of Hell Where this Cold Water dwells. Cold Water's flow slowed down. Cold Water takes my breath away... Cold Water don't drown. © 2014 Sibling |
