About 5 Years [The Diary of a Waste lander]

It has been about 60 months since the last noted civilization. 

All that I have seen is where liveliness used to exist.

It mocks me, taunting that I was ever so close.

Sometimes the flesh of the victims is there to boast.

They had community and someone to at least live for.

Me? Everyone is gone and I am no better than the disease that destroyed our wasteland.

I just know now, whatever happens is strictly off of the record.

A very short poem that says so much if you eye it right. This is indeed a parable.

I enjoy this piece a lot. It not only paints a wasteland in my mind but also a wasteland of a person.. Not sure if that makes sense but oh well.
