Rain, rain go away
Come again another day
Make sure you do
Or else we might fade away
Slip into a past facade
Dry and parched we will become
A far off cry of a world so glum
The pain is too much
My body grows numb
Hard to imagine
The rain will never come
The heat is unbearable
In the middle of Winter
But my heart is untearable
Just a small little splinter
Freakish daydreams surround
The scorched compound
Take it in, let it out
The water could be all about
But all the greedy clouds
Refuse to open their mouths
Hurtful and rude
Since when were they so crude
I'm sweating, my skin is burning
For the water is what I'm yearning
Give it to me before I burst
This feeling is the worst
"Thirsty!" Is what we chant
But that won't bring it back
Rain, rain I never mean what I say
Don't come again, just stay today
I'll dance in your puddles
And get soaked in your showers
Away with the warmth
And the drought you'll devour
