Nightmare

I felt the adrenaline rushing through my veins

As I ran from the ones with the reins

On the dark horses they used to ride

Coming after me in a fast paced stride

I screamed as I darted

Away from where we all started

I ponder over the chase

Reminding me of where I used to feel safe

Then my eyes started to flutter

And my body began to shudder

As my eyes met the wall in a stare

And I realized it was all a nightmare.
