Always Crying

You always seem to be crying
Tears streaming down your face
Glints of light catch the waterfall
Momentarily halting time and space

 

Is it because you always feel so alone
In a world uncaring; so cold and cruel
Does your heart yearn for the joyous times
When you were happily wrapped in jewels and tulle

 

Before you lost everything you loved
Did you smile and sing like a songbird
Were your memories laced with laughter
With comforting, and satisfying words

 

Can you paint a picture in your mind
Of dancing aross the lit up stage
Pirouette, grand fouette, and plie
Portraying a child overcome with rage

 

Now you know just how that child felt
Their life thrown away and hopes lost
Angry at the world for taking them away
Ready to tear everything apart at any cost

 

You continue to cry every day
Bitter tears streaming down your face
Glints of bright light catch the waterfall
Momentarily halting time and space
