Into The DarkA Poem by t.m.Previously 'A Prayer For Permission To Sin'.We fell victim to a prayer, A wish made with hands clasped together. How cruel were you to lead me. I fell from the tallest tower into your flesh composed of silk, Heart positioned neatly on my sleeve, Where you took it from me and swore to never leave. Liars and beggars lined up and you sold me without thinking twice.
Before you left me on the side of the street, Hungover and stumbling to the pavement. No bottle was left empty, no drug was out of the question. We were a chemical reaction. Anything but the truth. We were a lie, together forever never went as planned. My hopes were high, too high.
A loud crash that was lost in the noise. Tears of glass cut through porcelain skin and fell to the floor. The sharpest words cut through and pierced a heart. I had no shield when the knives were thrown. I bled to death on gold.
