Future

I said goodbye to a girl
Who lost her world,
Hoping to get out of limbo
So she can find home.

She sees beautiful colors
And her heart beats blue,
Because it burns like a star.

There's a fire
And she has tried to put it out
But she's learned
Maybe it's best to let it burn.

Even if sometimes all she feels is hurt
Everything else before made it all of worth.

She paints so many pictures,
Her feelings coming out of a can,
Or trailing a brush,
Because her words will never be enough.

I hope that she finds what it is
That she's meant to be.
I hope she finds her home
With a good family.

She deserves what she can't believe,
So much more than what she has.
She deserves so much better
Than being left, lost
And broken.

Today she doesn't believe,
But her future is bright.
She'll burn like lightning in a storm,
And light up the sky,
Someday.

Someday she'll be the brightest light
You've ever seen.
