Only if you knew

Only if you knew

A Poem by TheRealEnrique
"

“Only if you knew” is a quiet confession of feelings left unsaid. It captures the ache of admiring someone from a distance—the stolen glances, the racing heart, and the fear of speaking too late

"
I saw your eyes, that soft, bright smile,
One gentle glance that stayed awhile.
In every class my heartbeat grew,
Yet fear kept my words from reaching you.

I wish I spoke the truth I hide,
The way your presence feels like light inside.
But courage fades, I turn away,
Hoping tomorrow shows a way.

I fear the day you walk past me,
Choose someone stronger than I’ll be.
And I’ll be left with silent pain,
A love unnamed, hard to explain.

Still in my heart, you always stay,
The one I loved but couldn’t say.
Maybe one day you’ll come to see,
You were the reason feelings grew in me.
