Still seen

Still seen

A Poem by TheRealEnrique
"

“Still Seen” explores the feeling of withdrawing into silence when faced with rejection and unreturned love. It reflects on emotional weight, personal failures, and the quiet loneliness that follows.

"
When people don’t like who I am
I grow quiet, pulling inward
words rest heavy in my chest
and silence becomes my home

Love feels distant, unfinished
attempts ending before they begin
failure walks beside me like a shadow
teaching lessons I never asked to learn

Still, I was lucky to meet a few souls
soft hearts who listened and stayed
they saw me without asking change
and understood what I couldn’t say

So I stay up late beneath the night sky
watching the moon, counting stars
finding peace in their quiet presence
reminding me I’m never truly alone

Not all of life's lessons are pleasant. Some people just won't like us and that's that. Let that teach us to like ourselves all the more.
