Faith was called upon only in storms
when strength began to fail
prayers rushed upward
shaped by fear

On quieter days, presence was passed by
peace mistaken for self-made ground
each unnoticed breath
already a gift

Now seeking happens in the stillness
understanding distance was never real
only the turning of the heart
when breaking taught it how to look
