Where Angels Fly

Where Angels Fly

A Poem by Chaos Stone
"

Could I?

"

I'm a thorn, on the rose

Poetry, without the prose

Soul, of no repose

Heart remains, to decompose

Prick your finger, and bleed a thousand wounds

Close your mind, and spite my words

Lost in this land, of no time

Once tolls, a never-ending chime

Spread your wings, and take flight

I watch another angel fly

Leaving me behind, without a single word

Alone again, in my world of hurt

This life, of prison-cell worth

A mere mortal, bound to the earth

Watching another angel fly, away

Tied down, toiling upon the ground

With my head, in the clouds

Where angels, can be found

Could I fly, and follow you, so high?

Would I tumble, from the sky

Without a good-bye

Spread your wings, and take flight

I watch another angel fly

Left behind, without a single word

Alone, in my world of hurt

This life, of prison-cell worth

A mere mortal, bound to the earth

Watching another angel fly, away

I burn, and fall, as Icarus

Wings scorched, to ash

Down decayed, to dust

Now the color, of my grave

Marked by, a forgotten name
