AM I?

Written years ago and yet I also know the feelings so very recently for the exact same man. My heart holds him so dear and yet I know the truth and what can and can't be now.

Am I supposed to forget the dreams;
The dreams I spent in your arms,
The dreams of your lips upon mine,
The dreams of reading together?

Am I supposed to forget the words;
Such sweet words of love and passion,
Words of shared hopes and dreams,
Words spoken from the heart?

Am I supposed to ignore my cravings;
Cravings to look into your eyes,
Cravings to know your touch and taste,
Cravings for you to be my first?

Am I supposed to forget the promises;
Promises of a love to top all others,
Promises of a life together,
Promises of FOREVER?

I can’t forget the dreams and words,
I cant forget the cravings and promises.
I can’t forget the love I feel.
I CAN’T FORGET MY HEART IS YOU!
