Do you ever think that words have sounds and colors and light schemes attached to them that are completely unrelated to what they mean? I do.
Words are not just letters,
not just random combinations
making sounds and syllables -
stretch the words, make them big,
make them long, watch, oooooooonnneeebbyyyyyyyyy
oooooooonnnneeeeyyyoooooooooouuu
fffffffaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallll….
see the meanings?
emotion is a sandwich
between consonant and vowel;
do you stretch your words?
hear your sounds? breaks,
ups, downs, inflection
meaning anger fear tears
pity regret blaaaaaaaammmeee...
Don't converse, don't wait
your turn to speak (oh we
are so well-advised!)
llliiiiissssssstteeeeeennnn
to the words go whoooosshhh
and floooooommm through/
past/under ears/eyes/nose; feel a speaking time,
don't just observe it.
Watch their lights! Words
have lights and colors peeking
out from behind t's and h's,
o's, e's, v's, d's... l's... g's...
You can't see. You won't see.
You don't listen.
Words are not for you.
Words don't float for you. Won't.
You don't deserve a language
you can't feel.
Very creative. A very fun read. I might do the elongated words maybe a couple times less because then it has more of an effect. That's just me. Other than that, it's a great a day. Well done, dear.
This was incredibly fun to read. I've honestly never had so much fun reading something. The different fonts, the lengthened words, the true purpose of language. I can definately relate to this poem. I definately see colour and texture with words, and so do you. It's really nice to see someone that appreciates the TRUE art of words. This was definately a very interesting read. I like your unique style. And it really looks like you have fun writing. This poem almost seems... mind racking, but in a good way. Almost like you're tormented by the mistreatment of words, so you show how fun words can really be. I especially liked the "whoooosshhh" part. Overall, this is an excellent poem. Good luck in further writing!
I write to write.
Not for you.
Not even for me sometimes.
Inspiration just hits me,
and I'll write it down.
Sometimes what I write
concerns the present,
people I know
or things I've seen.
And other t.. more..
