Time Wizard

I'm just a normal man

Who can't control the time

But if I were a wizard

I'd put it on rewind

I'd frolick through my childhood

I'd right the wrongs I knew

But most of all if I went back

I would never have lost you

But like the moon shines on the river

All will soon be dark

Yet although the time still passes

So constant is your mark

I'm just a lonely normal man

Who can't control the time

But if I were a wizard

This is one thought provoking write, TheUnrulyWriter. If I were a time wizard even I would want to go back and undo the decisions that I took at certain phase of life. But, I believe we learn a lot from the decisions we take..good or bad whatever the outcome may be it teaches us something.

Thanks for the review! I wrote this poem about a character I made up and I don't think if I was a time wizard I would do anything with my past in fear of changing who I am in the present.

I enjoyed reading this piece. It's theme touches most people, I believe.
In the last line of the second stanza, might you consider using "have" instead of "had"? The verb "have" seems more grammatically correct, if that is an issue for you. You used "have" to express the past tense correctly in the last line of your poem.
