In A Cup

In A Cup

A Poem by DIVYA

In the sharing

of a steaming cup

Dew drops spring

on thawing skin

Your hot chocolate breath

Fogs my judgement

and I let the heat course

through miles and miles

of a long frozen me

Watching us, the winter fumes

Forgetting to shiver.

Beautiful poem, Ayvid. The kind of poem ‘Milo Man’ would enjoy with his own hot chocolate breath! Just like that steaming hot cup, the right words spoken to a lover can reignite the fire that has perhaps become just burning embers. Passion revived that even the seasons are enthralled by.

A lovely idea, well expressed. ❤️
