Moonlight Alchemy...

Embraced by the night,

Bathed in streaming moonlight,

Pencilled in silver, his frame

Ebony curls, just curls,

Fighting the breeze, untamed.

 

His lips, merely lips,

No cupid’s bending bows,

His eyes, simply eyes,

No hint of Eros’s glow.

 

He didn’t know how or when

Her gaze found him, and then

In a breathless moment, awed,

He turned from man to God.
