I see a sea

I see a sea

A Poem by DIVYA

I see a sea, I sea a sea

Its frothing ego, white

Its envy, furious green

Spitting sharply at me

I see a sea, I see a sea

It's blue gaze, vast and still

Fixed forever on the sky

Menacing as a grave

I see a sea, I see a sea

Its laughing mermaids dart

Swiftly beyond my grasp

In the closing palms of waves

I see a sea, I sea a sea

A leviathan dark as grief

swelling beyond its bounds

As if a thief at night

I see a sea, I see a sea

Its boats with sails adrift

on briefly borrowed winds,

mistaking drift for flight

I see a sea, I see a sea

 dreamdust and driftwood hopes,

flotsam on rising crests

And still, it sings to me.

Divya,
The call of the sea is powerful indeed and for all the reasons you listed. I grew up by the ocean and moved away about thirty years ago, now in my old age...

And still, it sings to me."

I miss her more than I can say...

Heartsong, Divya Dear ⛵

No one could have composed this whose soul has has not been wed to the sea.

At home Photo 'n Poetry in all their vividly captivating glory, presentation, grammar, etc; in this, your vibrant breath and singing soul are alive in every nuance, metaphor, and velvet flow that touches ever-so enthrallingly … if not your best, it speaks to me in ways I know I'll return to hear your heart's voice many times.

The "Call of the Sea" ⁓ I've never gotten over years, as a young lad, living and adventuring by the sea, until we moved far away … it had become so much an intricately imbued part of me and I of it, I actually yearned and suffered.
Later, a young man, I served four years aboard ship in the U.S. Navy, sailing to far shores, across vast oceans and seas, my soul embraced by tempest storms, sleeping to years' of waves' undulations, taste of brine on the tongue, salty breeze in my hair, and so much more, all married my entire being to the sea, it to me … from each other we shall never be free.

"I see a sea, I see a sea (love this refrain)
dreamdust and driftwood hopes,
flotsam on rising crests
And still, it sings to me."

I'll always feel incomplete without the sea … how could you've read my mind?

I cannot thank you enough for sharing this, Dear Divya, or you, simply for being You! ⁓ Richard ⚓

I can see a sea Divya... a portrayal of aspects of the grand, powerful sea in a stunning country...you must have enjoyed some of those waves and sailboats; it is boundless, as you say and perhaps "dark as grief" at times "menacing as a grave" for those who met their death...through it all, "It sings to me".....
Thank you for sharing
Warmly, B

I adored the poetry dear Divya and you are welcome.
Thanks for reminding us, with such grace that the sea is not just a place- its feeling, a memory and call to protect what sustains us.

Hello everyone,

I want to take a moment to share my incredible experience with DR SARUMAN and the powerful spell they cast for me. When I first reached out to DR SARUMAN, I was feeling lost and overwhelmed by a situation that seemed impossible to change. I had tried everything meditation, advice from friends, even other spiritual practices but nothing seemed to work. From the very first consultation, DR SARUMAN approach was different. They listened carefully to my story and took the time to understand the depth of my struggles. What struck me most was their genuine compassion and confidence. DR SARUMAN explained that they would perform a custom spell tailored specifically to my needs, and I felt a renewed sense of hope. The process was transparent, and DR SARUMAN kept me informed every step of the way. They used a combination of ancient rituals, powerful herbs, and positive energy to craft a spell that was both potent and safe. I followed all of DR SARUMAN guidance and maintained a positive mindset. Within just a few days after the spell was cast, I started noticing subtle but undeniable changes. Opportunities that I had previously thought were out of reach suddenly appeared. My mindset shifted from despair to optimism, and I began attracting positive energy into my life. Over the following weeks, the situation that once felt impossible began to unravel in my favor. Most remarkable was the sense of peace and confidence I gained. I felt empowered, as if a heavy burden had been lifted from my shoulders. Friends and family also commented on how much more positive and focused I seemed. To this day, I am truly grateful to DR SARUMAN for their skill, dedication, and the genuine care they showed throughout the process. Their spell has had a profound impact on my life, and I wholeheartedly recommend their services to anyone seeking real change. Thank you, DR SARUMAN, for your incredible work. Nice to hear from you again, Beloved. It seems to me that in this one you're taking an inward glance, that the sea is your own consciousness. Don't take that as an insult; the various aspects of the sea are symbols of things that are within all of us. I think your last line represents the openness all of us should have toward our inward seas.
PS: You don't need that apostrophe in line 3.
