The title Moral High Horse was inspired by a reply from Davidgeo to another reviewer, which sparked the idea of using it as the title for this poem.The title felt fitting for the poem’s themes. Thanks

I see beauty
Clinging to you,
My values,
I Entwine with you.
You become
My self-interest.
Indeed,
My selfishness
Reveals itself
In my values.
A life worth living
Is a life
I chose.

Does this set me apart?
I wonder.
But the answer lies
In everyone,
In you,
And you in me.
