Destiny

Destiny

A Poem by Thomas Emile Vaughen
"

A short poem about longing to find your place in the grand scheme of things...

"
I see opportunity,
like a dim star
in the dark night sky
and I want to seize it

I want to take a cosmic
breath
and see with absolute clarity
my place, in the chaos

Heavenly commands
that can't be erased
by human hands
Let me follow that diktat,
Let me obey

Destiny

I liked this piece very much. You said so much through your poem that I don't have to say anything more. Good job!

Like waiting for a voice in the quiet to assure us we're going in the right direction. That star is elusive, that's for sure.

Nicely put. We all want to seize the best thing in front of us. Thanks for sharing.

this is so inspiring to seize all the opportunities we get and to not pass them by, 'a dim star' that may one day become one of the brightest
