A Monologue (Truth)

A Monologue (Truth)

A Story by Thomas Emile Vaughen
"

Description is pending...

"
"People are infatuated with the truth.
They feel the compulsive, overwhelming
need to tear away masks of deception -
to dust away cobweb lies. I wish people
would realise that the truth is simple.
We all have wretched, tortured souls,
yet... We are all striving to elevate
ourselves in our own way. We are all
trying, valiantly, to conquer chaos and
turmoil, the essence of what we are.
We want clarity, purpose, love. We want
these intangible things as much as we
want water and bread; these things have
no permanence, they cannot be held on
to and thus we are all weak. Weakness is
the most fundamental truth."
